How does copy trading work?

Copy trading works based on social media and social trading systems. When an investor opens a position, they can transmit this information to the network of another investor, who can decide whether to open the same position, or their automated trading systems can do so without confirmation from the investor.

Frequently, the lead investor transmitting their positions has experience in the underlying market, and copy traders may lack it in this specific market or be new to financial markets.
